During KS3, students embark on an inspiring creative journey, mastering a diverse range of techniques and media to vividly capture and express their observations. At KS3, homework is set every half term to help students deepen their understanding of the essential knowledge that underpins their creative journey in Art & Design.
These tasks are thoughtfully designed to encourage students to be ambitious in their learning, exploring key artists, techniques, and ideas that will inspire and challenge them beyond the classroom.

At KS3, we are passionate about developing creativity, confidence, and curiosity through a wide range of enrichment opportunities in Art & Design.
Students are encouraged to take part in our Art and Photography Clubs, where they can explore traditional and experimental techniques in a relaxed, inclusive environment. From painting and sculpture to collage and mixed media, there’s something for everyone.
We also provide access to a variety of art competitions at school, local, and national level, offering students the chance to showcase their work and gain recognition beyond the classroom.
As part of our enrichment offer, we place a growing emphasis on digital art and design, giving students the opportunity to experiment with creative software and apps used in industries like animation, gaming, advertising, and illustration. Digital artwork can be easily submitted via Microsoft Teams, making it accessible and flexible for all students.
