Burton Borough School is proud to offer a vibrant and well-equipped campus, all situated on a single site with four main buildings arranged around a central quad. Our facilities reflect our commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, and community engagement.

Main Buildings

  • Oldest Building (est. 1957): Primarily houses administrative offices and our dedicated Inclusion Centre, supporting pupils with SEND and those requiring additional care.
  • Main Teaching Block: Core academic classrooms and learning spaces.
  • Music Block: Purpose-built for music education and practice.
  • Sports Hall: Equipped with changing rooms and toilets, available for public rental. Includes:
    • 4 Badminton Courts
    • 1 Full Basketball Court
    • 2 Half Basketball Courts

 

Outdoor Sports Facilities

  • Refurbished Tennis Courts (2025):
    • 2 Tennis Courts
    • 2 Netball Courts
    • 2 Pickleball Courts
  • MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area):
    • 6 Netball Courts
    • 8 Tennis Courts
  • School Field:
    • 1 Intermediate 11-a-side Football Pitch
    • 1 9-a-side Football Pitch
    • 1 Rugby Pitch with brand-new posts

 

Coming Soon: 3G Pitch

Construction begins in January 2026, with completion expected by Summer 2026. This state-of-the-art facility will serve both the school and the wider Burton Borough community.

Performance & Events

  • Main Hall: A spacious venue regularly used for school performances, assemblies, and community events.

 

Lettings

The academy does hire out the sports hall and classrooms during evenings and weekends apart from during exam season.
