Catering and school meals

Since the refurbishment of our catering facilities in March 2024, we are incredibly proud of the modern bistro‑style experience now available to our students. The Bistro provides a varied selection of main meals, meal deals, and convenient handheld snacks for both pupils and staff.

During morning break, students can enjoy a range of nutritious snack options. At lunchtime, a full roast dinner with pudding is available for just £2.60. Fridays feature our popular Catch of the Day, along with a firm student favourite: curly fries.

To ensure smooth service and accessibility for all, lunchtime is staggered between key stages, enabling an efficient flow through the canteen.

Allergens and dietary needs are always a priority. Families are welcome to contact our catering team with any questions at kitchen.bbs@lct.education.

Burton Borough operates a cashless catering system via Scopay. We use a biometric system for quick and secure payments; however, cards can be issued if needed. The first card is provided free of charge, with a small fee applied for any replacements
